SONJA D. BASTON

Sonja D. Baston, a beacon of warmth, passed away on March 23, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 58. She was born on March 2, 1967 in North Carolina, Sonja's spirit radiated kindness, and her gentle heart touched all those fortunate enough to know her.

Sonja was a loving wife to her devoted husband, Richard Baston. Together, they crafted a life filled with cherished moments and shared laughter. Her profound care for her family was woven into the very fabric of their lives, creating a nurturing home where love blossomed abundantly. She reveled in spending time with those she adored, creating lasting memories forever imprinted in their hearts. She has 3 biological children and 4 bonus children through marriage. She also has several grandchildren. 

Throughout her life, Sonja’s personality shone brightly. She was known for her ability to make others feel cherished and valued, embodying love in every interaction. Her welcoming nature drew people in, allowing friendships to flourish and connections to deepen. Friends often marveled at her nurturing spirit, as she made it her mission to ensure everyone around her felt seen and supported. She spent many years working with In & Out Burger. 

The legacy Sonja leaves behind is a testament to her incredible life—a life of compassion, devotion, and joy. Her absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew her, yet the love she shared will continue to inspire and uplift those left behind.

Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of Sonja’s remarkable life. A Wake Service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Both events will take place at the Forest Hill Church of Christ, located at 3916 Forest Hill Circle, Forest Hill, TX 76140.
