STEVEN DALE JACKSON SR

Steven Dale Jackson Sr. was born October 13, 1976 to the parentage of Steven D. Draper and Teresa A. Woodson.

 He received his formal education in the Dallas, Independent School District and later attended truck driver trade school where he received his CDL. 

 He joined Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the pastorage of the late Rev. Alvin Draper. He later joined Bridge to Life under the leadership of Pastor J. R. King Sr. where he was a member of the Male Chorus. His membership was currently at Graceland Community Baptist Church. 

 Steve drove trucks for over 23 years and had a janitorial service where he had been currently employed at Graceland Community Baptist Church for over 7 years. He also had a freight broker license.

 On July 17, 1999, Steve married LaToya Jackson, the love of his life. They raised three children together, DeMarcus, Semetria and Steven Jr. Steven loved his family. He enjoyed BBQing, fishing, going on trips, playing dominoes and being around family.

 He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife of 25 years, LaToya Jackson; one daughter, Semetria Jackson; two sons, Steven Jackson Jr. and De’Marcus Jones; mother, Teresa Woodson; father, Steven Draper; two sisters, Commalethia Howard (Marvin), Kawanna Blair; four brothers, Courtney Draper, Christian Okpuzor, Quishyown Dickerson and Quidale Dickerson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.

The wake service in honor of Steven will take place on August 23, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridge To Life Christian Fellowship Church, located at 2306 East Overton Road, Dallas, TX 75216. Following this, a funeral service will be held on August 24, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Graceland Community Baptist Church Cedar Hill, situated at 310 South Clark Road, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. The services will offer an opportunity for friends and relatives to gather and celebrate the life of Steven Dale Jackson Sr., sharing memories and honoring his legacy.
