TALMADGE HOLMES

Talmadge Tyree Holmes, affectionately known as "Brother", was born April 9, 1941 to Chilton Holmes and Willie Louise Warren Holmes. Talmadge was born the third of five children.

Brother was employed for over 35 years with G. W. Works Realtor where he perfected his craft of painting and carpentry. Brother accepted Christ as his Savior and served as a faithful member, who truly loved, the Lord at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church.

Brother was preceded in death by his father and mother, Chilton Holmes and Willie Louise Warren Holmes; son Samuel Ray; sisters Willie Ford, Felteen Sims; and brother Alfred Holmes.

He leaves to cherish his memories sister Teresa Grogan, sons William "Tiger" Robinson, (extended family), Jerry Smith Jr. (Tammie); daughters Kokaleah Smith and Wadainafi Smith-Baker; grandchildren Zechaira Brown (Nielsen), Shamaldai Smith, Kierra Taylor (Sandor), Jermian Smith, Zhadanair Smith, Xenyairi Baker, LaShasta Smith, Jerry Smith III; five great-granddaughters; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friend, Grace Moore.
