TEWAYNE Brannon

September 17, 1974 — May 9, 2018

Tewayne Tinez Brannon was born on September 17, 1974, in Dallas, Texas. He was the oldest child born to Steve Brannon and Aundrea Johnson.

Tewayne grew up in Dallas, where he accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Now Faith is World Outreach Ministry.

Tewayne received his education at Skyline High School.

Tewayne had three great loves. His first love was for his two sons, Lil Tewayne and Balen. His unconditional love and commitment to his children truly emphasized how much he cherished them. His second love was for the game of football. One of Tewayne’s last legacies is coaching, assisting and running the North Texas Bills Football Organization. Tewayne was devoted to mentoring and coaching the youth through football, as well as helping them develop on and off the field. Tewayne really cared for and supported the kids. His last love was for BBQ. If he wasn’t on the football field, you could catch him on the grill, firing up some of his signature BBQ dishes. Tewayne was the owner of Up in Smoke BBQ.

Tewayne was loved by many. He possessed an unselfish, unconditional love for all who knew him. His infectious laugh and kind heart will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Tewayne was preceded in death by Willie Day (grandfather), Inez Brannon (grandmother), Marilyn Brannon (stepmother), Percy Adams (uncle), and Carl Odom (uncle). He leaves to cherish: his beloved and devoted parents, Steve Brannon (father), Aundrea Johnson (mother) and Prophet Darrell Johnson (stepfather); his two sons, Lil Tewayne M. Brannon and Balen Brannon; five sisters, Tandray Brannon, TeLisa Woulard, Shanel Woolridge, Monica Debbs, and Darilyn Johnson; three nephews, Priest Mathonican, Nathaniel Woulard, and Chance Garza; one niece, NaTosha Woulard; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
