Mr. Thea Edward Willis, was born on November 19, 1945 in Fairfield, Texas to the parentage of Roy Willis, Sr. and Lillie Bell Willis. He received his formal education in Fairfield, Texas, attending Dogan High School.
He later enlisted in the military forces, serving during the Vietnam and Korean War. Receiving decorations, medals, commendations, citations and campaign ribbons to include: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Marksman (Rifle), Army Commendation Medal, 2 O/S Bars and Sharpshooters Badge Rifle M-14. Upon Theaâs return home, he was employed at Mexia State School in Mexia, Texas for many years .
He gently fell asleep on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Methodist Hospital Dallas.
Preceding him in death are parents Roy and Lillie Bell Willis, brothers, W.B. Willis and Roy Willis, Jr., sisters, Namio Beck, Lois Gillespie, Judy Willis and Mildred Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Brothers, Nelson and (Ruby) Willis and Clifton Willis and Esther of Dallas, Texas, sisters, Lorisa Coleman of Dallas, Texas and Mable Yarbrough of Fairfield, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
