THURMAN C TAYLOR

THURMAN CLINTON TAYLOR, affectionately known as PLUT & TC. He was born October 29th, 1946 in Monroe Louisiana. At the age of 77 years old the sun of his existence set on June 4th, 2024, surrounded by love and memories that will forever resonate in the hearts he touched. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for over 13 years and went on to retire in 1981. While serving he represented the Air Force by playing football and his love of sports allowed him to coach the Men’s Basketball Team while stationed at Dyes Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas. He later retired and decided to make Dallas, Texas his home. He began a new career working for the United States Postal Service where he would go on to work for over 39 years and retire in 2017. He was described as Caring, Giving, Loving and always greeting you with a Smile. The overall personality he shared with those he encountered was one of great conversations and lighthearted laughter. His proudest accomplishments were deeply rooted in his faith and love of GOD. He was dedicated to NEW WAY OF LIFE (HEARTLINE MINISTRIES) where he served as a trusted Armour Bearer, Choir Member & Deacon for many years which gave him great joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents LILLY & THURMAN TAYLOR SR. and his brother CLARENCE CARTER (Laura Carter). In the tapestry woven in love of family and friends that enriched his life he leaves behind a Loving Wife KARLA TAYLOR and his children LISA TAYLOR (Daryll Garrett), LYNETTE GARRETT TAYLOR (James Beasley), TIMOLIN ATKINS of Nashville (Pernell Haley), SHANON JEMISON, ERNEST ROBINSON along with a multitude of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Godchildren, Family and Friends.
