THURSTON MITCHELL

Thurston Durant Mitchell Jr. was born on December 15th 1985 in Nuremberg, Germany to the parents of Martha Robinson Mitchell and Thurston Durant Mitchell Sr. He resided in Fort Worth, TX for many years and passed away March 28th 2022 at the age of 36.

A beloved father, son, brother and friend to many, he was funny, easy going and had a huge heart. He loved computers, technology and music. Thurston Jr. served in the military for 8 years and received awards for serving in Iraq. Rant could often be found in a studio or at home making music and enjoying life. Music was Thurston Jr.’s (Rant’s) passion, but when he wasn’t making music, he was spending time with his daughter Honesti who brightened his whole world. He loved to barbeque and hang out with his family and friends. He was also focusing on finishing school to pursue his second passion in technology.

Known to all as a good, kind hearted man, he was always willing to help others and give his last to anyone in need. Thurston Jr. (Rant) will be greatly missed and his memory will be cherished by all who had the chance to know him. We are very proud to be able to call Rant our brother and son. We love you so much but God loved you more.

Thurston Durant Mitchell Jr. leaves behind family that honor his memory. His daughter Honesti Mitchell, his mother Martha Robinson Mitchell and father Thurston Durant Mitchell Sr., one sister Alexis Robinson and two brothers, Delano Robinson and Johnny Robinson (Wife Tiara) and a huge gathering of extended family including several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his grandmothers Mary Robinson and Mary Marshburn. Close friends of his include Jimmie Hughes (Jay Man) and Ginger Faye Washington (Gin).
