TYRA VANN

Tyra Mimms Vann passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was 63. Born on November 20, 1954 to the late Curtis and Dorothy Riley Mimms, she was a graduate of Southern University in New Orleans. On April 29, 1978, she married Ronnie Vann of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They raised their three daughters in Grand Prairie, Texas. For over 30 years, she worked in the Southern Reservations Office (SRO) at American Airlines. Tyra enjoyed travel and fine dining and was known for her zany sense of humor. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ronnie Vann; daughters, Tyra Musoma (son-in-law, Henry), Toi Vann, and Tiffany Hayden (son in-law, Timothy); grandchildren, Kezia, Avery, Camryn, Joshua, Olivia, Judah, and Timothy; brothers, Curtis Mimms, Jr., Byron Mimms, sister, Terri Mimms; mother-in-law, Mrs. Eloise Vann and the Vann Family of Tulsa, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews & extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother & father and father-in-law, Mr. Jesse Vann, Sr.
