TYRONE JONES

Tyrone “Ty” Jones was born on June 18, 1946 to David and Dorothy (Nichols) Jones in Louisville, Kentucky.  He passed away in his home on Monday, August 17, 2020 in Irving, Texas.  Tyrone served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal from 1965 – 1968 and served in the Vietnam war.  He attended college at Indiana University. He had a career as Director of Security until he retired and held his most important job as a professional grandpa.  Tyrone loved the Lord, enjoyed golfing, and being with his family and friends.  Spending time with his granddaughter Addison was his favorite thing to do.

Tyrone is survived by his daughter, Ashley Laffitte, his granddaughter, Addison Laffitte, his unborn grandchild, his son-in-law, General Laffitte, his ex-wife, Florida Jones, his cousin Kenny Cook and numerous lifelong friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jones, his aunt Elizabeth Cook, and aunt Betty Mills.
