Valley C. Payne, Shreveport, LA. Retired Director of Student Support Services and was currently a Professor of Psychology at Southern University at Shreveport, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, two children and a brother. Valley is survived by three sisters and a brother. Services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017: 9:30 AM-10:00 AM Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Omega Omega Ceremony, 10:00 AM-11:00 AM Viewing and Funeral 11:00 AM all at Mount Canaan Baptist Church Sanctuary 1666 Alston Street, Shreveport, LA 71101. Burial will be at Richwood Memorial Cemetery 2705 Richwood Road, Monroe, LA 71202. Tributes can be posted on goldengatefuneralhome.com website.
