Van Roderick Murphy, a dedicated individual who worked at Texas Instruments for over 35 years, passed away on June 5, 2024. He was born on November 17, 1952, in Dallas, TX.
Van will always be remembered for his incredible sense of humor and his love for cracking jokes. He had a special talent for bringing smiles to the faces of those around him with his remarks and lighthearted attitude.
Aside from his professional life, Van had a passion for fishing, bowling, and cooking. He took great pride in his culinary and considered himself a chef in his own right. His delicious creations brought joy to many gatherings and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of tasting his dishes.
Van leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his loving wife Delbra, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, a special Goddaughter, Latasha Thompson and a host of other family members and friends. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Services to honor and remember Van will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas. A visitation will take place on June 13, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on June 14, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM with the final goodbye at 2:00 PM.
