Vanessa Elaine Joshua, a beloved homemaker and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on September 24 2024, in Arlington, Texas. Born on January 6, 1970, in Berkley, California, Vanessa was known for her loving nature, caring heart, and vibrant spirit that could light up any room. She was the life of the party, always bringing joy to those around her.

Throughout her life, Vanessa nurtured her family with unwavering dedication, taking immense pride in her role as a devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. Her proudest accomplishment was the love and support she provided to her family, which remains an enduring legacy.

Vanessa possessed a deep passion for sports, reveling in her favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Los Angeles Dodgers. She enjoyed watching football and baseball, and her enthusiasm extended to basketball and track, activities she also excelled in during her youth, having played softball, basketball, and participated in track events. These interests highlighted her lively, exuberant personality and her ability to connect with others through shared passions.

Her journey through life was marked by her friendly demeanor and desire to bring people together. Vanessa was a true people person, effortlessly forming connections with those she met and leaving a lasting impression wherever she went.

Family, friends, and all who knew her are invited to honor her memory. A wake service will be held on October 2, 2024, at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, starting at 7:15 PM, followed by a funeral service on October 3, 2024, at 3:00 PM. The services will take place at the same location, 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224.
