VICKIE WADE

November 20, 1961 — March 24, 2021

On November 20, 19 61, Jo Ann Boyce gave birth to a bundle of joy and named her Vickie Lynn Boyce. While growing up she lived in the Alta Mesa community and matriculated through the Dallas ISD and the Wilmer Hutchins ISD. After culminating her former school experience in 1981, she always dreamed of attending Barber and Beauty School, but that quickly changed when she felt that becoming a nurse would be better for her. She suddenly realized that she would have to give her patients shots and quickly declined to complete the studies. She then began to babysit other people's children and was quickly recommended to work for the Alta Mesa Day Care Center as a child care provider. In 1983 Vickie was united in Holy Matrimony with Walter Wade and begin to experience life as a wife. Although married she was blessed to have an attentive and perpetual group of family members always surrounding her. Within that village, were her grandmother, Vero Moore and her aunt, Lucy Jones, who kept her apprised of godly virtues and wanted her to have as many children as she could. So, you can imagine the wide smiles on a glorious Easter Sunday in 1979, when she gave birth to a sweet little bunny named Detra LaShone. In January of 1981, she brought a second daughter Keisha Renea, home. In March of 1983, she gave birth to her first son, Walter, and in March of 1985, Fanis Tyrone arrived. In the early 2000s, her grandson, Keon was born, shortly after, Aspen followed by Julius. The grand finale was little Kiana, her great- granddaughter, born just five months ago. This would complete her offspring contribution to the world. Towards the end Vickie's life was dedicated to her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She cared for so many children of her family members and friends, and most of all, her nieces and nephews were under her care and in most cases she was their first daycare experience. Having a zest for life, music, fashion, and dressing up in the current fashions and looking gorgeous daily, was obviously an inherited trait from her mother. Vickie loved God, her family, and friends with all her heart. She will forever be in our thoughts, sorely missed, and gone but never forgotten. Her mother; Jo Ann Boyce, her stepfather; James Moore, Sr., grandparents; James and Vero Moore, and her brother; Frederick, predeceased her. She often stated, “When I die put me next to my brother, Fred.” now they will be side by side. She is survived by daughters; Detra LaShone Boyce and Keisha Renea Boyce, sons; Walter Boyce and Fanis “Tyrone” Wade, grandchildren; Keon Geovannie Boyce, Aspen Sade Boyce, and Julius Tyrone Warren, great-granddaughter; Kiana Grace Boyce, father; Joe Newman, siblings; three brothers, Reginald Keith Boyce, James Clinton Moore, Jr., and Michael Rodney Moore, one sister; Jacqueline Denise Kelly Clark, and a host of special niece
