VICTOR RAY BROWN

September 19, 1958 — April 28, 2024

God allowed a kindred soul to spend 65 years on this earth. His name was Victor Ray Brown, affectionately known to many as “Vic.” Born September 19,1958 to Helen Lois Brown, he was the eldest of five children. Growing up in South Dallas, he attended various public schools and attended local churches in the area. Victor was taught Christian values early on and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.  He had a heart of generosity, always willing to give without hesitation, his last dime to anyone in need. A God-given talent that he cherished was his knack for creating and fixing things, particularly, repairing cars. His other passion was drawing. Victor was an amazing sketch artist. He also loved music and could be found most of the time spending hours with his earphones on, listening to his favorite songs. Victor did not have any children of his own but was an amazing uncle to his nieces and nephews and was often called their favorite. Although he essentially kept to himself, he enjoyed the company of others. Throughout his life, he worked hard and diligently applied himself to any job he accepted. This was evident in his many years of employment at Dallas Market Center, where he never missed a day, even walking to work if necessary. He was a gentle soul, a man of his word who appreciated the simple things in life. Victor was cherished as a son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin to his family.

He is dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Preceding him in death is his mother, Helen Tennison, sister, Demetra Gail Tennison, grandmother, Tommie Lee Brown and uncle, Alfred Brown.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, sister, Annette Eaglin (Victorville, CA), brothers, Steven and Reginald Tennison, Aunts, Barbara Barron (Apple Valley, CA), Christine Armor (Compton, CA) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lifetime friends.
