Virginia Louise Bryant Lyons was a beloved individual who touched the lives of many. She passed away on March 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished forever.
Born on July 14, 1951, Virginia pursued her education with determination and earned her degree from Bishop College in Dallas, TX, following her time at Melrose High School in Memphis, TN. Her dedication to learning was evident in all aspects of her life.
In her career as a elementary teacher, Virginia's patience and understanding made her a favorite among her young students and colleagues. Her commitment to shaping young minds reflected her caring and nurturing personality traits.
Outside of work, Virginia found joy in simple pleasures. She was known for her love of sewing, watching movies, and playing games. These hobbies gave her moments of relaxation and creativity that brought positivity to those around her.
Virginia will be remembered for her sweet nature, patience, loving kindness, understanding demeanor, and delightful sense of humor. These qualities endeared her to everyone she met and created lasting bonds with friends and family members.
Among Virginia's proudest accomplishments were graduating from college, being a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, and most importantly, being a devoted, wife, mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she found immense joy in watching them grow and succeed.
As family and friends gather to pay their respects, a Viewing will take place on March 29th at Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory in Dallas, TX. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow on March 30th at Mt Tabor Baptist Church in Dallas to honor the memory of Virginia Louise Bryant Lyons.
Virginia's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace knowing she made a positive impact on all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.
