W. C. "Joe Boy" Thomas, a cherished father and beloved husband, passed away on January 30, 2025, in Lancaster, Texas, at the age of 86. Born on December 25, 1938, in Navarro, Texas, W. C. embraced life with an infectious humor and an undeniable zest for adventure. His laughter echoed through the hearts of all who knew him, as he was not only funny but also outgoing, lighting up every room he entered.
A true outdoorsman at heart, W. C. found great joy in fishing, often saying that the peace found by the water was unmatched. He would reminisce about the countless hours spent in serene surroundings, waiting patiently for a bite. W. C. dreamed of becoming a comedian, and while he may not have stepped onto a stage, his vibrant anecdotes and jests charmed friends and family, making every gathering memorable.
WC was a dedicated construction worker, known for his hard work and commitment to his craft. He was a pillar of the community, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. WC was a devoted father, friend, and husband, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
W. C. is survived by his loving children: Michael Thomas, Cynthia Thomas, and Gary Thomas. His warmth and humor will undoubtedly be missed, but his spirit will live on in their hearts and the many cherished memories they hold.
He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Bertha Thomas, who together created a bond that echoed throughout their family. The love they shared continues to inspire those who were fortunate enough to witness it.
