Wanda Dunbar, a beloved nurse and vibrant spirit, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, in Grand Prairie, Texas, at the age of 67. Born on May 11, 1957, in Royse City, Texas, Wanda was known for her warm heart and caring nature, traits that shone brightly throughout her personal and professional life.

Wanda pursued her passion for healthcare by obtaining her nursing degree from Nursing School at Richland College. Her career as a nurse was marked by her dedication, intelligence, and compassionate care, touching the lives of many patients and their families. She embodied the spirit of nurturing; her colleagues often admired her straightforward manner and her humorous outlook on life, making the workplace a brighter environment.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Wanda led a vibrant life filled with joy and laughter. She cherished her time at the casino, where she enjoyed the thrill of games and the camaraderie of fellow players. Additionally, she had a fondness for crossword puzzles, which she tackled with enthusiasm and skill. Wanda also found pleasure in walking, often using it as a time to reflect and enjoy the beauty around her.

As family and friends prepare to celebrate her remarkable life, they invite those whose lives were touched by Wanda to honor her memory. A viewing will take place on October 9, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. Following the viewing, a funeral service will be held on October 10, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM, with services concluding at 2:00 PM, also at Golden Gate Funeral Home.

Wanda will be remembered not only for her contributions as a nurse but also for her vibrant personality that brought joy to those who knew her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all she touched during her life.
