Our most treasured angel on Earth, Warneter Broadnax (Sarah), was granted her Heavenly angel wings September 15, 2016. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and close friends.

Sarah was born March 03, 1954, in Groesbeck, TX, to Marcellous and Dorothy Mitchell, Sr. She was the fourth child of five children. She attended school in the Corsicana Independent School District and graduated in 1972. Upon her completion of high school, Sarah attended Navarro Jr. College.

In 1973, Sarah married Ronnie Whitfield of Corsicana, TX, and to that union one daughter was born: Alicia (Lisa). Years later she moved to Dallas, TX were she began her professional career at Lone Star Gas Company for some 20 years. In 1983, she married Dennis Broadnax of Dallas, TX and to that union one son was born: Dennis Jr. In the coming of Holy Matrimony, she was blessed with two children: Daron and Chabria.

Early in life, Sarah accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Until her death, her mere grace and presence touched the lives of countless others. She was a proud and active member of Greater Ideal Church and later Mount Rose Church. There was never a doubt that she was a Christian, as her love for God was shown in every aspect of her life.

Immensely grateful for the cherished years we were afforded to have Sarah here on Earth, she will be missed deeply by those who survive her: Her loving husband, Dennis Broadnax Sr.; daughter, Alicia Anthony (Christopher); son, Dennis Broadnax Jr. (Sharonda); stepson, Daron Broadnax; stepdaughter, Chabria Broadnax; brothers, Marcellous and Ronnie Mitchell (Tanesha); sister, Dolly Mitchell; one grandchild, Styles Anthony; six extra special grandchildren, Jabril, Isaiah and Nadia Durham, Quinton, Khyler and Aubree Morris; a host of nieces and nephews and extended family she so tenderly cared for throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcellous and Dorothy Mitchell Sr. and brother, Wiley Mitchell.
