William D. Jones Jr. was born on February 20, 1944 in Jackson, Texas to William D. Jones Sr. and Martha Murphy. William attended Fredrick Douglas High School in Jacksonville, Texas. He later relocated to the Dallas Fort Worth area in the early 70s. William was blessed to be ordained as a Minister of the gospel. He attended Mount Zion Holiness Church. He worked many years as a Construction worker. William was a huge asset to his extremely large family. Although he had a soft toned voice, his spirit radiated volumes with his larger than life heart. William would not only help anyone in need, but he inspired everyone who crossed his path.
William D. Jones Jr. will definitely be missed. He is proceeded in death by his wife Melven Jones, his parents William D. Jones Sr. and Martha Murphy-Clayton, five brothers John A. Jones, George Cox, James Dockins, Arthur Clayton, and Adolphus Clayton.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his daughters Wanda Jones, Linda Freeman, and Stephanie Duvall, nine grandchildren Lashell Haskins, David L. Wooden, Natalie Saunders, Bobby L. Crisp, Lakisha Wilson, Alicia Takwi, Deandrea Taylor, Ricky Manzano, and Kendrick Duvall; his siblings Alcy Jimerson, Marie Jones, Ora Whitten, Cora Jones, Mary Tramell, Theresa Johnson, Martha Nickerson, Ester Shoyinka, Charles Jones (Diane), Billy Jones, and Noland Clayton (Ida), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He will forever be in our hearts.
