Wilton Tate, Jr., was born on December 1, 1988, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the union of Wilton Ray Tate, Sr., and Luticia Tate Akhabue. He attended Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, North Carolina, until he moved to Dallas, Texas, where attended Mesquite High School.
Wilton Jr., was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lindsey Griffin, Jr., and his great-grandfather, Lindsey Griffin, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories: his three loving children, Aubrey Tate Jackson, Prince Cauley-Tate, and Jada James- Tate; his father, Wilton Ray Tate, Sr.; his mother, Luticia Tate Akhabue; his stepfather, Victor Akhabue; two brothers, Hakeem Tate and D’ Andre Tate; and grandparents, Mary Griffin and Mary Tate. He also had extended family in Jacksonville, North Carolina: Walter and Cicily Murray, their children, Marcus, Mala’, Myracle, and Makayla; his grandparents, Albert and Shirley James; loving god-sister, Monique Jackson of Dallas, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends.
