BERNA BRIDGES

BERNA DEAN BRIDGES was born on April 1, 1945 to the late J. D. Young and Tennie Mae Wilson in Dallas, TX. Berna departed this life Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Berna was a member of Griggs Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member there until the Lord called her home. Berna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Berna enjoyed life cooking and being around her love ones. Berna was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. Young and Tennie Mae Wilson, JD Wilson; daughter, Sherrie Boyd; granddaughter, TaWana Boyd. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband of 39 years, Johnny Bridges; daughter, Tina Boyd-Cooper; son, Ronald Boyd; bonus daughters, Deniqus Bridges, TiAnna Bridges-Reed; grandchildren, Kesheila Boyd, Regina Boyd, Brandon Boyd, Joshua Boyd, Shiela Ann Boyd, Taylor Monk, Joseph Cooper, Kendall Thomas, Londan Brown; twenty great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Burton and LaVonne Davis; three nieces; a host of family and friends.
