CACY PHILLIPS

July 9, 1967 — June 23, 2021

Cacy Phillips was a gift from God born July 9, 1967, and raised in Como, Texas. Cacy’s earthly journey ended June 23, 2021. Cacy graduated from Kimball High School in 1985 and spent most of his professional career in the Trucking/ Transportation Industry. Cacy operated his own trucking business, 1230 Transportation, for 7 years before going to work at FedEx where he worked last.

Cacy met the love of his life, Shanise, at Pappadeaux’s 18 years ago. They were introduced by a close friend of Cacy's and it's been a beautiful love story since the day he brought her candy on their first date. Cacy and Shanise enjoyed traveling and entertaining their family and friends.

Cacy had a love for smoking cigars, the New York Jets, his dog Strainjer and a good backyard BBQ gathering. Cooking, watching football and welcoming everyone into his home were some of Cacy’s favorite past times. Cacy loved life and always had a laugh and hug for the people around him. Cacy’s battle with his illness showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Cacy was an exceptional husband, a faithful son and big brother to many and stayed strong in his Faith until the very end.

Cacy was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Larkins, and leave to cherish his memories include his wife, Shanise Phillips; his father, Archie Phillips and stepmother, Ella Phillips; sisters GeLisha Alexander, Stacy Phillips, Dahnela Phillips, Akwa Phillips, Ayreal Phillips and his brother Derrick Baker along with his goddaughters, Aspen Ward and Dazore Bradford, a stepsister, Sharbrena Ruffin and two stepbrothers, Lee Wells and Donald Monroe. Cacy's shining light will forever extend through a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
